Building Community, Changing the Dialogue on Aging
This Giving Tuesday, join with THIRD ACTion Film Festival to create a brighter, more connected future for our seniors. Together, we can break isolation and foster meaningful discussions that inspire the best third act possible.
The Challenge: Senior Isolation
Too many seniors experience loneliness and lack of community. With your help, we’ll create opportunities for seniors to connect with others through film and discussions, both in-person and online. We have a team of volunteers working hard to build community. They need a little administrative support. We want to hire a student or two to support the volunteers.
Your Impact
Your support will enable us to:
Host free or low-cost film screenings for seniors to spark connection and dialogue – in person and online.
Create online discussions for seniors and cinephiles of all ages to share stories and ideas inspired by our films.
Bring generations together to learn from one another, fostering mutual understanding and empathy.
Double Your Impact!
An anonymous donor has generously pledged to match the first $5,000 donated, dollar for dollar! That means your $50 becomes $100, or your $100 becomes $200 to help seniors find joy, connection, and purpose.
How to Give
Donate online through CanadaHelps.com. It’s secure, fast, and allows you to see your donation in action.
Share your support on social media using #GivingTuesday #ThirdActChange to inspire others to join in.
Help Us Reach Our Goal
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 this Giving Tuesday to ensure that seniors, no matter where they are, can find community, connection, and the courage to live their best third act.
What You’ll Change
A senior feeling connected instead of isolated.
A space where films spark real-life changes in how we view aging.
A Canada where seniors thrive, exchanging their ideas and experience people of all ages.
Together, we can turn isolation into connection, dialogue into action, and aging into a celebration of life’s third act. Let’s make it happen this Giving Tuesday.
