2026 THIRD ACTion Film Festival Plans

We’d like to share an important update: we will not be hosting a full festival in 2026. This decision allows us to focus on strengthening our foundation—building capacity, sharing the workload more sustainably, diversifying funding, and becoming better known across the community. We see this year as a period of intentional, accelerated growth that will position us well for what comes next.

What We are Doing

In the year ahead, we’ll be active—hosting and supporting film screenings, discussions, and partner-led events that align with our mission. If you’re interested in collaborating or co-presenting a screening, we’d love to hear from you.

Filmmakers

We will be asking for films about aging and creativity, purpose, connection, resilience, successes and challenges of all sorts. Fiction and non-fiction, features and shorts. These will be screened at community events. Please stay in touch with us. We will be sending out a link to a private FilmFreeway page soon.

Volunteer With Us

Volunteers are at the heart of THIRD ACTion. Most roles require a commitment of about one day per month, and opportunities are available across programming, communications, fundraising, film research and reviewing, administration, and leadership.
